Steadier energy
Share of sessions where runners said their energy stayed steady the whole way through.
Scanned the wobbler? Welcome.
Organic functional mushrooms, grown in BC, heat extracted and tested for beta-glucans. Seven pouches, one good story, and Jaye and Brett on full spectrum. Have a poke around.

The number on the back
Beta-glucans are a type of fibre in mushroom cell walls, and they're the compounds most mushroom research zeroes in on. So they're the number worth checking on any mushroom label. We test every one of ours.

Beta-glucan (1,3 and 1,6) content from third-party testing. Comparison figures are from leading imported extracts and fruiting body powders.

The story of full spectrum
Full spectrum, explained
Two minutes on what full spectrum actually means, why growing them right here in Canada matters, and why Good Livin' does it best. Bring snacks.
Brett's cordyceps story
Every mushroom company has an origin story. Ours involves world records, a famous coach and a guy who runs very, very far.

Then we put it to the test
Brett's rabbit hole eventually became Salty Turbo, our electrolyte with Canadian sea salt, creatine and Canadian-grown cordyceps. So we asked Electrokare Labs, an independent research and performance tech group, to run a proper trial on it. Every runner did four workouts, two on Turbo and two on a placebo, in a shuffled order nobody could see.
Share of sessions where runners said their energy stayed steady the whole way through.
Average focus score runners gave themselves after each session, out of 5.
How hard the run felt, out of 10 (lower is easier), at the same or higher output.
6 bpm lower on average
At the same or higher workout intensity. This is the result with p = 0.0003 attached: about 3 in 10,000 odds of a gap that big by pure luck.
85% fewer cramping notes
Runners logged any cramping straight after each session. Turbo sessions had far fewer of those notes than placebo sessions.
A model trained only on heart rate, HRV, pace and splits picked out the Turbo sessions 76% of the time. Guessing gets you 50.
The lineup
The same 230g pouches you'll find at your local health food store. Look for them by name on the shelf, or ask the staff where the mushrooms live.
Hericium erinaceus
Cordyceps militaris
Trametes versicolor
Inonotus obliquus
Grifola frondosa
Ganoderma lucidum
All six, one scoop
Capsules vs. the big bag
Cool and dry, zip closed, away from the steamy kettle.
Stir it in after cooking, not while it boils.
Keep the bag next to the coffee, where you will trip over it.
Salty electrolytes
Salty starts with Canadian sea salt and 40+ raw ocean minerals, then adds creatine and one of our Canadian-grown mushrooms. Lion's Mane in Einstein. Cordyceps in Turbo. Maitake in Goddess. Mix it into cold water after a sweaty one.
Made in Canada with domestic and imported ingredients.

Brett & Jaye
Our story
We're Brett and Jaye, plant nerds and the people most likely to turn a Sunday morning into a three-hour conversation about adaptogens.
We built Good Livin because this is how we actually live. Clean ingredients, no "natural flavours" hiding a laundry list of mystery stuff, no fillers. Just the real deal, the things we actually use, with formulas backed by science, not just vibes. Okay, some vibes, but the good kind.
This is the good stuff. Welcome in.

Good questions
Yes. Everything on this page is about the same 230g pouches on the shelf in front of you. Same mushrooms, same testing, same numbers.
In British Columbia. Every mushroom in the 230g lineup is certified organic and grown in BC. Good Livin' itself is based in Kelowna.
We use the fruiting body and the mycelium together, so you get the whole mushroom rather than half of it. The diagram and the video above walk through it.
About 1/3 tsp (1g) a serving. Stir it into coffee, matcha, a smoothie, oats, or soup after cooking. Earthy and mild, it mostly disappears.
We can't promise how you'll feel, and we'd side-eye anyone who does. What we can tell you is exactly what's in the bag, where it's grown and how to use it. For anything health-related, your doctor is the best first call.
So good, you'll feel it.
Grown in BC, tested by a third-party lab, and waiting for you on the shelf at your local health food store.
